polar express

A month ago I was talking to my Aunt Kim and telling her what a train nut Weston has become like her son Sean. She suggested going on the Polar Express. After first I declined the offer due to the expense so close to Christmas. But my amazingly GENEROUS Aunt wouldn't take no for an answer and with a tiny bit of convincing we accepted the offer. I am so glad we did. It was amazing. We started out the evening by meeting my Aunt Kim, Uncle Colin and cousin Sean at the local dinner Dairy Keen which is not only good but they have tons of trains for the kids to play with. We got there a little early so the kids ended up having tons of time to play. When we were getting ready to leave Weston wasn't quite getting the idea that we were going to ride on a train but once we went over the tracks and he saw the train the whole idea came to life for him. We picked up our tickets and then took some pictures out in front of an ACTUAL steam engine. Weston was getting thrilled by this point. I had the boys wear their pajamas to go along with the story. I was worried they would get cold so my mom bought Cason a new thick pair of pj's and slippers, and she also put a pair of long johns on him too. She also bought Weston a nice thick robe. (Thanks mom) It was so fun because the train was all decorated for Christmas and the workers were wearing elf costums and chief costumes just like the movie. Once the train started to take off we were served hot chocolate too bad it didn't taste like melted chocolate bars, but still good, we also got good cookies. Cason kept trying to take my cookie and hot chocolate (yea that was great LOL). The train stopped a few times before it finally got underway. Weston was so thrilled when it stopped stopping and got going. He kept saying, "(insert anyones name because he had to tell each of us) its not stopping now, its not stopping...." We sang Christmas carols and then a lady read the story of the Polar Express while we all had copies to look at. We were also visited by Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus. It was so much fun and we had a blast. Weston didn't want to go home. Thank you so much for the fun night Auntie Kim you are the GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving

I thought it would be fun to say all of the things that I am thankful for:

1. My Family: I have the best family ever. My husband makes me laugh daily and though he might not be a romantic he does do little things that make me smile. I have two of the sweetest, funnest boys around. I love them so much.

2. My house. With so many people facing the foreclosure of their houses and so many people that don't even have homes it makes me so thankful that Jon and I are able to provide a nice home for our family.

3. My Job. I really do love my job. If I have to be away from my family to work atleast I love my job and its a job that still allows me to be a good mommy and be at home with my kids as much as possible. Plus I have great colleges and a good class this year.

4. My mom. My mom and I may not always get along or see I to I but I am so thankful for the things that she does for my family and I. I am also thankful that she watches my children everyday so they don't have to go to daycare.

5. Food. As you can see by my weight I am very thankful for food. I love to eat and bake. Its the greatest.

6. My extended family. I have the best Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins around. I really wish I got to see them more but I really am thankful for their presence in my families lives.

7. Friends. Jon and I have some great friends and I am so thankful them and their presence in our families lives.
I am sure there is much more but that is all I could think of. Happy Thanksgiving and I hope your day is filled with love, thanks, and happiness.

cRaWleR

Cason has had a BIG developmental weekend. My mom text me on Friday to let me know that Cason had started crawling. Now he has been doing all the moves to be a crawler since he was 6 months old and I thought by the time he turns 7 months he will be cruising. Wel he just turned 8 months old and then the next day he took off. He didn't realize what he was doing so when my mom tried to show me when I got home he wouldn't crawl. But this weekend. He defiantely showed he that YUP he is a crawler. He only crawls enough to get what he wants and then over he turns. Or he crawls just a little and then reaches out to get what he wants. Its so funny. He usually wants Weston or one of Weston's trains. He just loves Weston and if Weston happens to give Cason the time of day then he just birghtens up. Anyway so now I can say he is officially a crawler. Here are so videos of him crawling. Sorry about the super cheesy mommy voice. But hey don't all mom have it?






First Tooth:
Cason also is cutting he first too. He has been a little more irratable but not much. He just gets the rosiest cheeks that are so cute. It hasn't completely cut through but I can feel it and if he lets me pry his mouth open I can also barely see white peeking out. I can't believe how big my baby is getting.

SiTteR

Its official.... Cason is a sitter. Well he has been since the beginning of October/ end of September. But with Halloween and Weston's birthday I haven't gotten a chance to post this. He is really funny he starts out doing great then that poor head of his just gets heavier and heavier and then wham.... He topples over. He doesn't cry if fact he is probably happy because then he can roll around and rock in the crawling position. Crawling is next and I full expect to happen soon. If fact he has been acting ready and doing the rock and everything since the beginning of September so I am a little surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Other news:

Cason turned 8 months on the 12. I can't believe just how old he is getting. Time certainly flies by when you have a job, a family and are just older. He is my sweet, little, giggling, smiler and I love him so much. He has been a great blessing and addition ot our sweet family.

This month has been a fun, busy month. The only thing I have seemed to post was about Weston's birthday and being sick but we did a lot of other fun things.

Pumpkin Patch

The first Saturday in October Jon, the boys and I went to the pumpkin patch in Layton. We got to go on a tractor ride to the field and then we picked out three pumpkins. Cason slept the whole time and Weston kept on picking up pumpkins and then putting them down when he would find a better, bigger pumpkin. It was so funny.

Drive
After going to the pumpkin patch we went for a drive up Farmington canyon and over to Bountiful. It was so beautiful and seeing the fall colors was nice as well. Sorry no pictures I forgot the camera.

Pumpkin Walk

Two weekends ago we went to the Syracuse Pumpkin walk. It was a lot of fun and luckily it wasn't too cold. I dressed the boys up in their costumes and off we went. Weston loves pumpkins so he had to get out of his stroller immediately and check out the pumpkin's up close.

Jon went to Las Vegas for a conference with his boss so he missed out on Halloween. Saturday the boys and I went to Toys R Us for trick or treating in the morning it was sort of lame. Then we went and picked up my mom and we drove to Bountiful to meet up with Cherie, Brandon, Whitney, Brookelynn, Carrie, Austin, and Avery. We went trick or treating up and down main street. It was so fun. Weston was too lazy to get out of the stroller or say trick or treat but he still got tons of candy. Cason slept the whole time. Then we went to my mom's and had pizza for dinner and went trick or treating in her apartment complex. Then we went home and went trick or treating around or neightborhood. Weston finally got into it and would say Trick or Treat and thank you once he had a handful of candy. LOL! At first he liked the decorated houses then he would get scared and say, "I don't want to go there!" We got home around 8 and by 8:15, I had to turn off the lights because I was out of my small bag of candy. Then the boys and I went up to bed and I stayed up and watched Carrie for awhile then off to sleep for me as well. It was a fun Halloween I just wish Jon would have been there to enjoy with us.

5 YEARS
Jon and I meet five years ago on Halloween. I can't believe how fast time has flown. In five years we have been married, lived in a townhouse, bought two houses, graduated from college, had two dogs, and had two kids. We have done a lot in 5 years. I love you BABE!
