6 years old.....

Dearest Weston,
Here I am finding myself writing another letter to you on your birthday.  I know I start all letters this way but I can't believe you are 6 years old.  I can't help going back to the day you were born.  I was so excited to finally meet you and officially become a mommy.  You have been the most amazing child.  You were such an easy baby and a pretty good toddler.  I have made my share of mistakes on you and I am sure I will make many more but yet you continue to love me unconditionally.  I love you so much and I can't help but wish I could be as sweet, and light hearted and lovable as you.

We have gone through so much in the last year.  You have started soccer.  Your first team, and first few games were definitely a learning experience.  Weston you really had no idea what you were doing but you have found such a love for the game and you are actually really good.  Now if only you were a little taller you could be just a bit faster then those taller kids just a bit more.  My heart swells with pride seeing you enjoy it so much and being actually good despite your eyes.  We have tried t-ball. You liked it a lot but unfortunately when you were in the outfield you couldn't see the ball and lost interest.  But while on the pitchers mound or catchers you did great!  You have started school and you have such a sweet love of learning and school.  Weston you continue to amaze me with how smart you really are!!!!!!!!!  We have had some struggles with being sure you can really see the board, but your teacher has been amazing at helping you.  We've also discovered you are colorblind which makes so much sense as to why learning your colors was so hard.  But through it all you have continued to thrive!  Learn!  and Grow!

You have lost 3 teeth your two bottom and your one of your top teeth.  Utah Utes continues to be you passion.  You tell me you want to be a dr (as of late).

I can't wait to continue you to watch you grow and learn.  You are an amazing boy and I am blessed to be your mother!

First Day of Preschool

This beautiful boy started preschool in September 2012. I can't believe my baby is in preschool. A friend of mine is doing preschool with another friend for their kids and a few others. They were sweet enough to take Cason. I was nervous how he would do as he has never really been with anyone other then family but he did great. He had a really hard time with seperation anxiety when I went back to work and Weston was gone in the morning for school. But I think having school himself helped him. He has only gone 4 times so far. But he loves going to play with the other kids.  I am hopeful that he will learn all his letters, and shapes.  By this age Weston had those all down.  Cason is a very mechanical boy.  He loves how things work, he is very much like Jon.  Here is to a successful year of preschool.

Staring the journey that is school.....

Weston began his first day of school on September 4th, 2012.  Weston was scared about school starting since he has fallen in love with his teacher and being at school.  It was fun to take him school shopping.  He picked out a Utah Utes folder and backpack.  What can I say we taught him well.    Being a teacher I wasn't able to take him to his first day.  Jon was great and took the morning off so he could take him to school and attend his back to school morning.  He did really well at taking lots of pictures and notes.  They came in to see me before they headed down for the beginning of school.  Weston was getting so exxcited it was so fun to see.  The next day was his first real day of school.  At first his really struggled with writing his name.  But after a week or so his name is fully memorized and it looks really good.  He is still struggling with his colors.  Weston gets them right about 95% of the time.   He instantly fell in love with his teacher and had to take her a bracelet and a note within a few days.  Every morning he couldn't wait for the bell to ring so he could go to class.  I hope he continues to have such a big love of school.

Though he doesn't look excited he is excited to go into class.
