I feel like I haven't posted in awhile. Probably because I haven't. We have been pretty busy at our house. My mom moved out last week. She found an apartment about 2 miles from our house. Now I have to take Weston to her. I forgot how hard it is to wake a sleeping baby. I hate waking him up to take him to my mom's. Only for 60 more days then he can sleep in for five months.
Yep five months. I thought I was going to have to go back to school for the last few weeks. But it turns out I get 12 weeks maternity leave not 6. I only got 6 with Weston because it was my first year. So from April to August. Weston will be able to sleep in and have his mommy all to himself instead of sharing her with work. But he will now have to share me with Cason. That is right we picked a name. Cason. No middle name yet. We are thinking Larry for my Grandpa and Dad but we aren't sure but we finally have a name. What do you think?
Since my mom moved out Jon has been working on our basement. It was mostly finished already but when they did the taping and mudding of the drywall they did a bad job, you could see the bumps all over. Therefore before we can move the computer/scrapbooking things out of the baby's room and decorate I have to wait for Jon to remud and sand the walls and then paint them. We are hoping he gets the mudding and sanding done this week after work so we can paint this weekend. Then next weekend we are hoping to get to paint the baby's room. Yeah!!!!!
So Weston had fun running around in the basement with it empty because he voice would echo. Well he was downstairs yelling his abc's when Jon didn't realize he was behind him and turned around and smacked him right in the mouth with the metal hammer. Weston started crying and Jon picked him up and brought him to me. When I saw him I said he is bleeding. Jon didn't realize he was bleeding. He had cut his lip and gum on the hammer. Once he was in my arms he quit crying and Jon gave him a wet napkin. Needless to say he looks much like the picture a couple of posts ago. My poor kid gets over one fat lip and gets another. What a trooper though. He is always fine once I am holding him and he has a wet napkin. I think Jon felt worse then Weston did.

OUCH
As you can see from the pictures Weston had an ouchy. Today while I was making Jon some chocolate chip cookies Weston decided it would be fun to stand in our empty tupperware we keep the dogs food in. His legs were in the tupperware and just his upper half was sticking out. Well after a few mintues I don't know if he was trying to get out or what but he crashed. As he starts to cry I lean over to pick him up to see blood every where. I grabbed a wet papertowel on his split lip and cradled him. He quite crying after only about 30 seconds of crying. He is so tough!!!! He has a split on his bottom lip and a blood blister on his top lip. Poor kid.
Go UTAH
I am so proud of my ALMA MATER for kicking Alabama's butts and going on to be the only undefeated college team this year. Way to go. We had a nice little set up at our house with shrimp, sausage, cheese crackers, and bbq wings. Weston had so much fun cheering with Jon and I. I will post the video shortly of him cheering. Way to go UTAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sledding
We don't have any picutes unfortunately of Weston's first sledding adventure. We took our snowmobile and went down to a friend of ours house in West Bountiful to go sledding. It was such a cold day if you look at the slideshow from a few posts ago you will see Weston and Charity all bundled up ready for go. Jon tied the sled to the snowmobile while he pulled Weston and I on the back. He was very good to go slow so that his pregnant wife and 2 year old were safe. Weston kept saying Woo Hoo and this is fun. He had a blast.
Christmas
Christmas was wonderful at our home. On Christmas Eve we had a nice ham dinner at our home. Jon's Grandparents, parents, Uncle Lance, cousin Courtney, brother Roger and my Grandpa and mom came for dinner. We spend much of the evening visiting, EATING, and enjoying on another's company.
Weston went to bed at 9 after leaving cookies for Santa. Then Santa and his elves got to work. After everything was ready to go Jon and I watched Christmas Vacation again and went to bed. I slept great until about 5 then I just couldn't wait for my little man to wake up. I was so excited for him to see what Santa had brought him.
Around 8:30 he finally woke up and fun began. He was so fun to watch open his presents. But he was so funny too. He had to have either a cookie or a drink of Chocolate Juice (Chocolate milk) for the first few presents. He was also so appreciative of everything that he got. Weston had to open each gift get it out of the box and play with if for a moment before he would move onto the next gift. Needless to say this took away from 8:30-11:00. He got quite spoiled. His gifts included a Elmo Live (the best present in his mind), Kitchen set, food, grocery cart, remote control truck, a v-tech PC pal, clothes, a piggy bank with money in it, a new coat, snow overalls, snow boots, a sled and books. Yes he was very spoiled.
As for Jon and I we didn't do too bad. Jon got San Fransico pajama pants, Dark Knight on Blu Ray, a San Francisco calendar, boxers, socks, and undershirts and $50. Jon got me a carpet cleaner (Yes that is what I wanted), a gift card to Hobby Lobby, an ornament, and some stocking stuffers. Then my mom bought us a digital camcorder, and clothes for the baby.
After all the presents we went to my Grandpa's house for breakfast and we got a chance to visit with my cousin Lindsey and her family as well and my Aunt Michelle and Uncle Dean and their family before we all went our seperate ways.
Then Jon, Weston, my mom and I went to Jon's Grandparents for a wonderful dinner, conversation, and more gifts. Weston got a couch that he just loves sitting in especially with mom or dad or even Elmo. He also got a dirty Elmo that you wash in the tub. That was big hit. As you can tell he is into Elmo just a little bit.
