Memorial weekend

When we first got to Yuba Lake while we waited for our friends to come and get us to take us across the lake.

For memorial weekend we went with our friends to Yuba Lake near Nephi. On Friday night it was so stormy when we needed to get to our campsite via boat. I was terrified to put my son in the boat then the water calmed down and the rest of the night was nice. Saturday was rainy off and on but we had fun on the beach. Jon and I caught a ton of carp. Poor Jon is such a fishermen so that was not acceptable to him. Sunday we went boating and everyone went knee boarding wake boarding. Then that night it stormed and poured on us. We left as soon as we could Monday morning. Despite the weather we still had a lot of fun.

ZOO

Friday my mom and I took Weston to the zoo since I am off track. Here he is sporting his super cute sunglasses. They lasted all of maybe f ive minutes.

Weston really liked the animals that you could get up close to see. One of his favorites was the penguins. He loved watching them walk around and swim in the water. He kept pointing to them and saying something in his gibberish about them it was so cute.
See his intense gaze couldn't be taken away from those penguins.
His next favorite animal was the giraffes. I love how this mom giraffe decided to pose for our picture. Notice his smile. LOL!

This monkey was hilarious. We remembered him from last year. He sings the whole time you are there. He makes a whooot whooot whoooooo noise. Weston thought that was so neat he decided to start making htat sound himself. I wish I would have recorded him mimicing the monkey.


Bet you did know Jon went with us. LOL!

This is the super picture that Weston colored for me for mother's day. Isn't he talented? This is his first attempt at art and I think I have a budding Picasso here. LOL!

Mother's Day

Jon made this cute bench for our yard from him and Weston. I also got a CD and funny card.
We took my mom to dinner at Golden Corral. Here Weston is enjoying a gummy bear.
