Broken Arm

About a month ago Cason and Weston were playing on Weston's bed and hopping around and hiding etc. Typical boy things to do. I was curling my hair when low and behold I hear a thump and then a cry. I run down the hall and Cason is laying flat on his face crying and not moving at the foot of Weston's bed. I ran to him to hold him. I was so worried about a concussin. It was his nap time but I wasn't about to let him take a nap. I held him in my arms and rocked him for about an hour and he was just acting very weird then after about an hour he took off and was playing with Weston again but he was still grumpy all day and he wouldn't move his right arm at all. I expressed my concern that he might have broken his arm. Jon pooped my worry and we put him to bed. The next morning (Monday he still wouldn't move his arm). So I made an appointment to have his arm looked at. Can I just tell you how much it killed me to be at work and not at the doctors with Cason. Since I was already at work when I decided he needed to go to the doctors its really hard to find a sub late like that I had to work. My mom had strict instructions to call me the minute she knew anything. Well turns out he buckled his right wrist in two places when he fell. He had to get a cast put on for a month. My mom said he was so good for the doctor and very still for the nurse putting on his cast. Now that is a miracle because to be honest is such a mover and daredevil I am sort of surprised this is the first broken arm he has gotten. But was in pain the first few days and frustrated he couldn't move his hand like he was used to but after 3 days he was right back to doing everything and trying to jump on the bed again. Here are some pictures when I brought him home after getting the cast put on.

Of course a cast didn't stop his affinity for playing with vacuums.

Don't mind the wet shirt I had to get him a trat for being a big boy and he got it all over himself.

Bathing him is fun. Lol I have to put a bag on his arm and put him in the sink. Needless to say he doesn't get the daily baths he used to.

On the 9th of May we do to check and see if the cast can come off.

Spring Break Zoo

The only nice day during Spring Break I took the boys to the zoo with my friend Jessica and her daughter Annyson. We had fun. Weston was more interested on going on the train and carosel that he barely paid attention to the animals. So we looked at all the animals went on the carasel and then the train. After the train, Jessica and her daughter left. We had a nice picnic and then we relooked at the animals. Cason loved the monkeys and the meerkats. Weston says the elephants and the giraffes were his favorite. It was a nice day and it was so fun to see the boys both so excited about the animals. Cason feel asleep on the way there. Notice the socks on his hands as mittens. He kills me sometimes.

They are just studs what can I say :)
