Two Months Old

Some of the cutest smiles ever!!!! (Not that I am biased)

I know that this post is a little late but we were in California when Cason turned two months old. We took him for his check up and immunizations last week. He did fabulous! He cried of course when she gave him the shots but no fever or fussiness afterwards. What a champ! Here are his statistics.

Height 23 1/4 inches long

Weight 10.4 pounds

Cason is such a great baby he has already on several occasions let me sleep for 6 hours. He smiles and coos all the time. He loves his brother! Cason has the biggest eyes and they just get bigger and bigger when you talk to him. His baths are his favorite.

2009 Vacation

Weston, Cason, my mom and I just got back from a wonderful vacation to Disneyland. Where was my husband you ask, he had to stay home and work. A few weeks ago while at Costco my mom and I saw tickets to Disneyland and we were joking about taking a road trip to Disneyland. I thought we were just joking around but my mom asked me to really look into it, so I did. We found out Weston would be free to get into both Disneyland and Seaworld. That there were tons of rides he could go on there. So we looked into the prices of hotels and gas and made the decision just to go for it. We left Monday morning right after Mother's Day. We left at 6 am. We got to Anaheim at 6 pm. Its only a ten hour drive but it took longer with taking some stops for Weston to get out and run around and me to feed Cason. The kids did wonderful. Cason slept the whole time and Weston slept part of the time. He gets carsick so we had to buy him dramamein and it knocked him out. Tuesday morning we headed to Dinseyland. We wanted to start off slow so we went on Its A Small World first. To my amazement Cason was able to go on it. Weston loved the ride. Then we headed into Fantasyland and let him go one all the rides there. Cason was able to go on everything, even the flying Dumbo's. Weston was in heaven. Weston loving called Disneyland Bisneyland. In the afternoon we went back to the hotel to rest and came back for the parade at night. Wednesday we went back to Dinseyland and the California Adventrue park. We enjoyed most of the rides except the fun rollercoaster types. LOL! Weston went up to Pluto and Minnie Mouse just fine but Mickey mouse rushed past which scared Weston from all the characters after that. Darn Mickey. My mom bought Weston a mickey mouse stuffed animal which Weston had to take everywhere and he kept holding him like a baby it was so cute. That night we went to dinner with Frank Kimbrough who was like a dad to me growing up which was fun to catch up with him. Thursday we checked out of our hotel and headed down to San Diego and went to Seaworld and saw Shamoon (as Weston calls Shamu) we feed the bat rays and feed them fish, (my favorite part). We enjoyed looking at fish and aquatic animals and seeing the shows for two days. Weston was in heaven because they had a seasame street playland and his Grandma spoiled him by buying him a Big Bird, Snuffie, and Ernie stuffed animals. We also got a picture with Elmo and Big Bird which Weston wasn't too sure about. We drove to St. George Saturday and came home Sunday. It was a wonderful trip! Thank you so much Mom for taking us. She paid the whole way considering I am on maternity leave and am not getting paid. What an awesome Grandma. Here is a slideshow of the fun trip sorry to long and full of pictures.

Mother's Day

This year I must admit that my boys spoiled me. On Friday night Jon brought me home a gorgeous arrangement of flowers and a box of chocolate covered strawberries. I love the arrangement because it is full of all my favorite flowers. Then Saturday Jon took me to Boston's for dinner. I just love that place. So on mother's day I wasn't really expecting anything else. Well to my surprise Jon gave me another present a with a balloon attached. The present was a willow tree figurine holding a baby. I have been wanting this one since I had Weston and now I finally got it. I must say I am one lucky mother. But Jon didn't have to get me anything. Just having two of the sweetest boys in my life and wonderful husband is enough. We then took my mom to dinner on Mother's Day. I wish I could have celebrated with the other mother's in my life. I am so blessed to have a wonderful mother who is an amazing Grandma to her grandkids. I am so thankful to have her straightened up her life and have her as such a big part of my kids lives. They just love their damama as Weston pronouncing Grandma. I also wish I could have spent time with my Grandma who is in Texas but I got to talk to her on the phone. I am so lucky to have such wonderful mothers in my live, as well as all of you. Happy Late Mother's Day!
My gorgeous flowers.

Cason's Blessing

We blessed Cason today. It was such a wonderful rainy morning. My Grandpa blessed him with my Uncle Dean, Uncle Lee and my cousin's husband Kevin in the circle. My Grandpa gave a very nice blessing on Cason. Then I was lucky enough to listen to some wonderful testimonies from people in my ward as well as from people in my family. After the blessing we went back to our house for brunch. We had cinnamon rolls and fruit. The plan was to make the cinnamon rolls from scratch until I read the reciepe at 6 and it said it had to raise for a few hours, put the filling in and then raise again. I didn't have that kind of time so at the last minute we bought some. Oh well. It was great to visit with the family that was able to make it.
Today just helped remind me how extremly thankful I am to be a mother to such amazing boys. Weston and Cason bring so much love and joy into Jon and I's lives and I am so thankful that Heavenly Father trusted me enough to be their mother.
We didn't get any pictures with it being so rainy and cold but we are goign to get some pictures taken in a few weeks in his outfit.
