Cason's 3rd birthday party was so much fun to plan and SOOOO much work. I decided to do a monster theme. I am not creative in anyway shape or form every amazing thing you see here is something that I have found on pinterest. (Love love love that website). I had the stupid grand idea to make each individual kid a stuffed monster. These are the finished product.
I think they turned out so cute.
This was my other super smart idea. I feel like whenever I make cakes they aren't as moist as store bought ones maybe its the altitude or I over mix who knows. So I asked a friend who has a baking business for a recipe. That was the easy part. The cake took a lot of steps it was really sticky and its was SO DRY!!!! It tasted delicious like sugar cookie dough but totally dry. Then the cupcakes I used a mix but read applesauce makes them moister and healthier. Ha! Mine weren't that dry but they just tasted like applesauce so next year remind me to just buy them and if I still have the dying need to decorate them I will.

The monster cake that looks like an alien.

Then I also found on pinterst these cute playdough monsters. So I went and bought playdough then wrapped them in paper and painted monster facees on them as goodies.

We played a pin the eye on the monster game. This is the monster I painted.

I wanted Cason to wear a monster shirt so I made him a shirt that matched the monsters that we gave the kids.

When the kids got there they were to make monster masks and make monster buckets to put their goodies in. I think they turned out cute though no one even wore the masks ha, oh well they were entertained.

This was me explaining how to play the game and the men watching the basketball game.

Cason did this after he finished his turn.

Some of the other boys taking their turns.

My handsome Weston waiting for his turn. And what our monster looked like after kids had their turns.

Openning presents. Weston and his cute friend Ashton always crowd whoever is opening presents. This party was no different. We had to keep telling them to back off. Cason was so into his present this year it was so fun. He got great gifts!

Opening the farting gak the boys had a riot with that and I couldn't help giggling as well with them.

Grandma got Cason his own new bike. He calls it his motorcycle. Cason will sit on it forever making motorcycle noises and ringing the bell.

Singing Happy Birthday to Cason.

Cason blowing out the candles. He didn't know what to do with them at first.

Everyone enjoying their cupcakes.

We had so much fun and I still can't believe my handsome little guy is 3. How does time keep passing so fast?
