Weston's 5th Birthday

Weston turned 5 last week. He has been wanting to have a race car/Cars party for the last 6 months so that is just what we did.

Here are the invites we sent out:

If know me and have seen other birthday parties I have thrown you know I go OVERBOARD but hey that is what mom's are for right. Here are the decorations for the party. On Saturday I went to pick up some last minute food and couldn't resist this balloon. I had to get it for my boy who LOVES balloons.

For the first time we got a cake from some where other then Dick's market. We got it from Winegars. Needless to say it looked great. Didn't taste so great. We will be going back to Dick's next year.

Since it was a car's theme and Weston's room is decorated in cars theme all I had to do was steal his decor. Here is the mantel I decorated.

This is the table where I put the cake the next moring.

Weston was VERY spoiled by all his generous guests. Check out his loot pile.

These are the cars I made out of boxes for our race car races.

Our first activity we did was the kids made license plates.

Here is Weston and his best buddy Ashton. Also check out that cool table his Grandma got him from a yard sale right before the party.

This is Braxton and my Casey Roo they are the future best buddies.

Our friend Trisha brought her 10 week old Tellame, and Cason was in love with her. After I got to hold her he wanted to sit and hold her. Trisha was sweet enough to let him. After that he wanted to be by the baby's side the whole time. I think its time for a sister hint hint Jon. :)

Auntie Kim had given this old raincoat to Weston months ago that Sean had used as a firemen costume. Well Weston left it up there over the summer. Auntie Kim fixed the tear and added:

These awsome rainboots and umberalla to match. He loved it. Go Auntie Kim.

Weston's license plate. I love the face ha

Presents, YAY!

These are a racers post race.

The racers getting ready to race. (YES, I do dress Cason) Weston refused to use a car. It was so funny but he was second to win and he started crying because he was so worried he wouldn't get the GOLD medal. Poor boy.

Here is Weston singing Happy Birthday to himself again in his own cake and ice cream.

Cake time.

The next day Weston dressed up Cason. Don't you love the tough guy look?

We had a great party and I am thankful for those of you who were able to come celebrate with us. I still can't believe my baby is 5 years old.

Labor Day 2011

For Labor Day weekend we went to Jon's boss' property at Swan Valley, Idaho. We had so much fun roasting marshmellows, eating, visiting, shooting guns, four wheeling, four wheeling, and four wheeling. Its always fun when we go up there and so beautiful I just wish it wasn't 4 hours away. Enjoy the picture overload. Jon and I after four wheeling all day.
Me shooting Jon's gun. I did so awesome I hit the can so many times. I must say I was proud of myself. Weston on the other hand HATED the loud noise.

Jon making his yummy dutch oven chili. YUM!

My face is so dirty their is dirt in every pore and line.

Only a mother could love that dirty face. He had like 3 baths a day.

Weston and Koda spent hours playing on the tractor.

5 Years

Today Jon and I got married 5 years ago. Sometimes I can't believe its only been 5 years and then there are times that 5 years doesn't seem like long enough :) If you know me and Jon very well you know that we have had a really rough 2011. And honestly I didn't think Jon and I were going to make it to this anniversary. But I can say without any reservations that I am the happiest with him I have been in a long time. I think the trials that we have gone through lately have helped us to be a better, stronger couple. I am so thankful to have him as my life companion. Here is to 10 times as many years. I love you so much Jon! Jon and I were engaged on Halloween 2005. And I got pregnant in January 2006. I really didn't want to get married fat and pregnant. Little did I know I wouldn't show until 6-7 months and that we would get married when I was 9 months pregnant. So I was putting off getting married. Then we didn't want to have a baby and not be married. So on September 15, 2006 we got married in the Farmington Courthouse. Then on September 15, 2007 we did what I like to call our real wedding. These are when these pictures were taken.

Our beautiful family at our 1 year anniversary.

Us during the ceremony.

2 of the 3 men I love with all my heart.

I just love this bottom picture!

Brother Thomas Kay who has been my Grandparents home teacher for forever lol did our ceremony.

Since my dad is no longer with us my Grandpa walked me down the aisle it was so special to me.

I made Jon promise not to smash it into my face.

Here I am reminding him of his promise.

Cutting the cake. I loved that cake and it tasted so GOOD!
