Names

Jon and I need your help with names. I want something unusual but not crazy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ultrasound photos

Here are the ultrasound pictures. My scanner scanned them in too big so I had to rescan them at school to get them to upload. The first picture is like looking down on the baby. You can see the eyes and his tummy. So cute.

The second photo is of his feet. They are a little hard to tell that they are his feet.

The third photo is the photo that shows were are having a boy. You see his two thighs and then inbetween the thighs right under where it says boy you can see his penis. No mistaking the gender on that one.

And the last photo is his profile. So cute. With Weston we got like 15 photos you could see his arms and legs so well. But atleast this time they recorded the ultrasound on VHS. Not that we have a VCR anymore but hey I can watch it at school. LOL!

Disney On Ice

Today Jon, Weston and I went to see Disney on Ice 100 Years of Magic. It was so much fun. Mostly for me I think! I haven't been to Disney on Ice since my little sister (Charity) was like 6 and she is 13 now. I knew it was coming for a while but I didn't realize it was the 100 Years of Magic. So when I figured that out I asked Jon if we should go and take Weston. He said he would go. So I promptly got on the computer and got tickets. I was a little worried how Weston was going to sit. He doesn't watch t.v. and he hasn't been to a movie to play or anything. But I figured the lights and the music ought to entertain him. He loves both.

We had a blast. Weston did really well, I was surprised. We will definitely go again.

And the baby is.......

Weston is going to have BROTHER.

When we went for the ultrasound for Weston, Jon could tell right away it was a boy. With this one he wasn't sure. The lady asked can you see the surprise and just then we both saw the penis. So needless to say Weston has a little buddy growing inside of me. Though many of you must be thinking Lacey must be so disappointed. Well I am ashamed to say I held back tears until we left. I am happy to know he looks healthy and I really am happy to have a wonderful baby boy growing inside me I still couldn't help being disappointed. I was so sure this one was a girl. I was sicker, all the predictors said girl and everyone kept telling I just know you are having a girl. I really am okay but it will just take a minute to get over the initial disappointment.

Though I didn't get my girl this time at least Weston will have a brother close in age that he can be best buds with. Jon and his two stepbrothers were all within two years of each other and they were best friends. Now Jon has his own fishing, four wheeling, camping crew. If it is meant to be I will have my girl some day.

It was exciting to see his arms, legs, and hands. He even opened his mouth a few times and we could see the eyes so well. I am trying to load pictures but they aren't cooperating right now so more to come.

SEP Conferences

Though I hope I don't normally look like this teacher, I sort of feel like it after this week. This week is SEP conferences or formally knows as parent teacher conferences. I used to love this time when I was in school. I mean heck you get out of school at 1:25 the whole week. Well now I am the teacher, so not only do I not get out at 1:25 but I am here every night until 6 or 7. Which is not normal for me. I usually leave around 4 or 4:30. I don't know how teachers stay later every night I guess that is the difference between me and good teachers. LOL! Any way. Back to conferences. Since we are having the ultrasound done tomorrow I scheduled all my appointments for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I had 4 on Monday not too bad. Then yesterday I went gang busters and had conferences straight from 1:40-6:40 that meant no potty break. Which I tell you is hard when you are preggers. Today I have 6 more and then I am all done. YES!!!! This year has been a lot better. I feel more at ease with most of the parents and this is due to a few reasons one is the fact that I have so much parental support in the classroom like I have never had before. Also my kids are just really good this year. I only have one behavior problem and he is nothing compared to the kids I had last year and I have only one other child that is really low and we are working on referring him to resource. So mostly I just get to celebrate with the parents about how great their student is.

19 weeks

It has been a few weeks since I have posted my enormously growing belly so here you go. 19 1/2 weeks. We find out what we are having in a week. Keep thinking pink. Of all my many friends who are pregnant all are having girls except one. So keep thinking pink and maybe it will be true for me too.
