First Haircut

Today Taylyn had her first haircut.  I have been hearing that to make a baby's hair grow you should cut off the ends that have been growing.  So I finally did it.  I also needed to even it out.  My friend Kim who is also my hair stylist came to the house to do it.  Tay was so funny.  She was all smiles and then her lip....it slowly started to protrude out more and more.  Until after a few minutes tears were streaming down her face.  It was so funny because she wasn't having anything done that would hurt her.  She is such a sensitive soul.  Turned out so cute!

The protruding lip....
Finally she had enough and the tears began to stream.
 All done.

Looks like a cute little bob.  Love this girlie!

15 months

Taylyn is 15 months.  Where in the world has the time gone?  I don't think I can say that enough.  Time flies by to incredibly fast.

Getting ready to go to Frightmares.

 Cute mustache pic Amanda took.

 Cute Halloween outfit.

Her hair is getting long enough for us to do a pony.  Looked so cute until naptime.
Accomplishments:
  • WALKING!!!!!  She is finally walking.  Tay has been standing for quite some time but she is finally walking.  And guess what got her to walk.  A PURSE!  My mom was watching her one night while I was getting my nails done and she had been playing with this book box that had a handle like a purse and she was wearing it like a purse for hours.  So we took the box and handed it to my mom and put her a few feet away in my arms.  She took the steps she needed to get to the purse.  Ha!  I love that an accessory is what got my daughter to walk.  Such a sweetheart.
  • Vocabulary: Hi, bye, mom, dad, cay cay (Cason), no no, Bubba (Weston).  I am sure I have forgotten some.

Our friend Ryan has twins.  Taylyn was so cute.  She kept looking between the two and saying "baby".  Tay wanted to hold them and feed them.  She also kept giving them toys.  Too cute!

Clothes: 6-12 months, 9 months.  Size 2 shoes
Diapers: size 2
Food:  Anything.  Sippy of milk first thing in the morning and then regular meals throughout the day.
Sleep: 8-7 every night.  Amazing sleeper.
Because she looked so cute!
Stats:
  • Weight: 19 pounds 7 oz (20% biggest she's been since she was born)
  • Height: 29.5 (10%)
Snuggling with Daddy.  Those fingers.

Dear Taylyn

Dearest Taylyn,
Happy First Birthday little Taterbug!  How has this last year already come and gone?  I swear one minute you were being placed in my arms and I could hear your first cry and then next minute you are saying "dada" and crawling all over.  Taylyn you have brought so much love and happiness into our lives.  You are so quick to smile and giggle.  When I walk into your room in the morning and you are standing in your crib and you give me that big ole' smile it just warms my heart and I can't help but smile.  You always put me in such a good mood.  When I am upset or stressed all I need to do is sit down and just snuggle you and smell your sweetness.  I can't help but be vainly proud when every where we go people gush over how beautiful you are.  Because I really think you are the most beautiful baby inside and out.

I love your sweet heart.  You are so tender and are quick to give "loves" if I sit a stuffed animal or a baby down for you to play with you instantly say, "awe" and give it multiple hugs and kisses. You can't get enough of Cason.  If he gives you a moments attention you are hugging on him and its so sweet!
Weston takes on the big role of being your pretector and he does it so well.  He is always looking out for you and worrying about you and your safety, its beyond endearing.

To say your dad is wrapped around your finger would be the understatement of the decade.  I see how he is with you and it just warms me all over.  I am so in love with him and fall even more in love with him when I see his love for you.
In the last year you have brought me so much happiness.  It has been such a blessing to have you in our family and I hope I can live up to being the mom you and your brothers deserve.  I love you so much and can't even imagine what my life would be without you.  I have so many hopes, dreams, fears, and wishes for you.  I want you to be strong in character, body, mind, and soul.  I hope you will find a career that will bring you happiness and independence.  I hope you find the man that is worthy of you and may you never settle.  May you bless me with lots of grandbabies I can snuggle and love.  I hope you get to travel and go on adventures.  I wish you will have the confidence I often feel I lack.
Again happy first birthday to my last baby.  I love you so much!!!!!

11 months old

We have had a lot of fun being home with summer and having Ms. Taylyn.  We got Lagoon season passes and she is so good.  She just hangs out in her stroller and watches everything happen.
This is generally what she does whole time at Lagoon.
Her hair is getting longer so we've been doing more and more hairstyles.  Still not long enough for most but getting longer.

Tay has been in the pool a few times.  Mostly she prefers just to be in her tub and not actually touch the water :)

Just love this big smiley girl!  She is always so happy unless I move from her side.

I love this picture I took for a father's day picture for Jon.  She is such a sweetheart.
accomplishments:  *Mastered climbing up stairs     *Says momma a lot now     *Her new thing is to point at everything    *she is standing up more on her own but instantly sits down when she relizes what she is doing.

diapers: size 2

food: Formual bottle when she first wakes up, then she eats most food we eat.  Has a bottle before and after naps and right before bed.  She loves food.  Tay is definately a fattie in a tiny body #hopeshe doesn't get my weight issues

clothes: 6/9 months and some 6-12 month.  Size 1 shoes fit great and now no longer fitting in newborn size :(

sleep: same as usual though with summer naps have been harder to squeeze in.

Can't believe next month is the big one year old!  Makes me so sad.  I love she is growing but wish I still had this tiny baby in my arms still.

10 months!

Taylyn is 10 months and is a crawling fool.  Which is certainly taking pictures of her harder.

Okay mom enough!
Now that she can crawl she loves to get into this draw and pull out all the baggies, and even pulled out the wipes once.  The boys used to do this all the time.  Ugh.  But its cute at first.

accomplishments:  On mother's day Taylyn started offically crawling.  YAY!  She Pulls herself up to standing.  I often will find her standing in her crib smiling when I come to get her up for the day. When you put her shoes on she will say shoo.  Too cute.  She loves to give hugs and kisses.

sleep: goes down around at and wakes up around 7.  Sleeps for 2, 2 hour naps during the day.

diapers: size 1-2 costco brand, 2 huggies still little big.

eating: She still has 6-7 oz of formula every 3-4 hours.  Taylyn loves bananas and anything she can eat that everyone else is eating.  She loves watermelon.  This was her first time getting to eat it.

clothes: 3-6 months moving more into 6 months.  Size 1 shoes are starting to finally fit.  Yay this openned up a whole new set of shoes.

9 months

Taylyn has had a big 9 months.  Auntie Victoria came to visit for the weekend on the day she turned 9 months old.  They both fell in love with each other.  It was so sweet to see.

She continues to be her daddy's sweetheart.  Taylyn loves to explore so much more around her now.  She is getting harder and harder to keep still.
I just love this picture.  Her little personality is so cute.  She will pull the funniest, cutest faces.
I just love that this dress still fits her.  Its a 0-3 month dress.  I adored it on her last summer!

We have also been trying out new hairstyles more.  He hair was almost long enough for this one.  But sadly it broke a lot of her hair off so we haven't done this one again.

And awwwww the owl comparison.  She was in such a great mood to take pictures.  Which made it fun to get such great smiles.

She is such a mover now.  Taylyn hasn't started crawling the right way yet but she is a scooter.  And the minute I sit her down she scoots and manuvers to what she wants.  (Usually me :))

weight:  13.8 putting her in the 0 % still.
height:  26.25 7%
Head:  16.25 2%

He was still concerned that she is still lower.  But she has been strictly on formula and solids from 8 months to 9.  From 6-8 months she was getting two bottles a day of breastmilk and the rest formula.  He wanted me to try adding in a little more formula if I can or more solids.  She spits up a lot if I give her more then 5 oz. so I have been trying to slowly give her 6 oz every few bottles.  Tay is a great eater so luckily that isn't an issue.
The dr. also heard a murmur.  He thinks it might be due to her iron being low which is making it sound funny when it goes through her heart.  But if he still hears it at her year appointment I am taking her to a cardiologist.  I have a hole in my heart and my family has a huge history of heart issues.  So this is not something to mess with.
accomplishments:  Playing hide in seek on her own.  She loves to do this with me in the morning.  Picks up things with her fingers and everything goes into her mouth.  Tay loves to stand holding onto something but can't pull herself up to standing yet.  I love it when she kicks her feet she gets so excited.  She will kiss her babies or stuffed animals the minute you place them down by her.  AWE I know :)

sleep:  Still a great sleeper.  Goes down between 7:30-8:30 sleeps all night until I wake her at 7:30 to go to the sitters.  Naps for 4 hours on the weekends.

cloths:  Size 3-6 months but a few 9 month items that are mostly dresses.

diapers:  size 1-2 from Costco, she is leaking from size 2 huggies.
