And I cried yet again at school.....

To start this post I have to say Weston has the most AMAZING kindergarten teacher.  I am so thankful he goes to my school so I can talk with his teachers and pick them personally.  I love his teacher and so does he.  Everyday he comes home raving about school and how much he loves his teacher.  He has learned so much in the short two weeks of school.  The problem lies in his nystagmus and his eyesight.  I was talking to his teacher and she mentioned that he holds the paper really close to cut which isn't bad in itself.  But then she mentioned when she writes on the board and then he has to copy it on his paper he will do a word then ask what's next.  But when she writes it on his desk he copies it just fine.  It can be too things.  1. He can't see the board which is what it most likely is or 2. He forgets the letter from when he looks at the board and then has to refocus his eyes to write.  I am glad she told me so that we can work with him.  I just hate thinking how school and life is going to be for Weston.  I know how much I use my screen and my board.  I walked to my class and called Jon and of course started crying yet again at school.  I am going to keep talking with his teacher and seeing how things go.  Get better glasses in January.  Talk with his opthamaligist.  And keep doing research.  Being a mommy is TOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!1

Its begun again

We found out about 4 days before his first game that soccer had began again. Weston loved soccer in the spring and has been super excited to start again. We got up eary to get up tot he field for his 9:30 game. Jon was bow hunting so it was just my mom and the boys. Weston was so psyched because his team color was red. When he got his uniform he was like I am red like the Utes. (yep he's mine). Let's just say that Weston wasn't the greatest player on his team in the spring. He ofte couldn't follow the ball and when he kicked he missed the ball. But I was so PROUD at how he did today. He stayed with all the kids. Got right in there and got a lot of great kicks in. I was thrilled.  With the boys' eye condition I worry about him missing out on things because he can't see.  T-ball was a challenge for him when he was in the outfield  And the sun made it hard to see with soccer.  But my heart swelled today with how well he did :)  Here is to a new season with the Red Dragons.
Practicing before the game.

I told him I wanted a pictur and this is the pose I got ha.
This is how Cason spent most of the game.

First Dentist Visits and........3 cavities

Weston had his regular 6 months check up and Cason had his first check up.  Cason did great.  I was a little nervous since he wouldn't open his mouth for me when I was trying to practice with him.  But he was great.  The bright light bugged his eyes so that was a little hard for him.  But then they gave him some sunglasses to wear.  The dentist made me get this not feel so guilty that Cason still has his nuk at 3.  He said his permanent teeth wouldn't be crooked and he will get rid of it when he is ready.  So though I still want to throw it in the trash get rid of it I am not as worried as I was.

Waiting so big for his turn.  Finally practicing opening his mouth.

Getting all ready for the dentist.  Looking so BIG!
He was trying to undo the bib.
Wearing his sunglasses because the light was so bright.

I was so proud of him opening so big.
Giving her a high five when he was done.  No cavities and everything looked great.
Weston is an old pro at going to the dentist.  He loves the dentist and getting the good bag with his new toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.  Well this time we got bad news.  He had not one, not two, but three cavities.  He has never had one in the 2 years he has been going and her goes and gets 3 in 6 months.  Holy cow!  That was fun going 3 different times.  One even had to have a mini crown or root canal I can't remember.  I don't know if he will be so exited to go back again.  One time he bit his side of his cheek and got a big old sore so bad he needed antibiotics.  Poor kid.  I have tried to be more vigilant about brushing more.
Weston picked out a telescope so he could like a pirate.

Circus of Rejects

In February my mom and I took the boys to the Ogden Circus.  Now let me tell you about this circus.  My friend Melissa and I took our kids to this same circus last year.  We ended up leaving half way through because let's face it these guys are Ringling Bros. rejects.  We were sure at some point the lion tamer was going to get malled.  We were going to see some fall to his death.  Luckily we didn't but needless to say we were worried.  So when we saw they were coming again Melissa didn't want to go but I couldn't afford the real circus since they come the same month as Weston's birthday.  But we had a great time.  Though I was still scared someone was going to fall to his death at one point they did get better in the last year.

We let the boy ride the ponies.  And I am not trying to say that I am some babe but the guy running it was trying to flirt with me so the boys got a really long ride.  SCORE!!!!
We got Cason new glasses in fact we had just picked them up right before we went.  He wore them for about 30 minutes and then he took them off so I am not so sure how he could really see the show but he seemed to like it.

My mom will kill me for this picture.  We stuffed our faces enjoyed some popcorn and cotton candy.

My mom spoiled the boys and they each got two guns that lite up and made noises.  It was a noisy ride home.

Casey Roo and I waiting for the show to start.

I lov this boy!

All in all I think we will go again it was fun, it was cheap and the kids had fun!  And let's continue to hope no one dies.Rr
