JAZZ

My mom gave Jon tickets to a jazz game for Christmas. So we went this last Monday. We were going to take Weston because he absolutely loves the Jazz but then discovered he was too old so we would have had to buy him a ticket. It worked out pretty well though because Jon and I got to go on our first date with NO kids since July. We went to Skybox at the Gateway for dinner then we the game. The Jazz had a great lead and then the Sun's cam back and was in the lead for most of the game. Their team couldn't miss a 3 pointer and we couldn't make one lol. It was a really good game and we came back to WIN. YES! It was a fun night for sure.

3 year well check

Today I took Weston in for his 3 year well check even though he turned 3 in October. What can I say I liked the idea of hitting two birds with one stone and doing both their check ups at the same time. Here are his stats:
Height: 35 1/2
Weight: 29 lbs.
Here is a list of Weston's accomplishments since hitting 3 years old. He now loves Alvin and the chipmunks after getting to go see the Squeakel over Christmas he now loves to watch the first one and the cartoons. He loves to say "Alvin" just like Dave. Weston still loves trains. He is getting to be a little better with Cason. And what can I say as much as he can be a pill somedays I love him to death and wouldn't trade my little mamma's boy for anything in the world.

10 months old

Cason turned 10 months last week. Where has the time flown. He is getting too big, too fast. Today I took him in for his 9 month well check up (too bad he wasn't well). Here are his stats.
Weight: 16.9 lbs.
Height: 28 1/4
Since turning 9 months he can:
~wave (pumping his fingers in and out) to say hi, bye and just to do it
~he loves to dance, no music needed if you just sing to him or talk high pitched he dances

~he crawls up all the stairs and sneeks up them the first chance he gets. Luckily knock on wood he hasn't fallen yet.

~he loves all people food, wheat bread, cheese, rice, basically anythng your eating he wants it and you better give it to him or watch out.
~he has 6 teeth

~he thinks he needs to stand up in his crib instead of going to bed if he doesn't have a bottle to go to sleep

~he likes looking at books

~thinks Bella (our dog) is the greatest thing and loves that she shares her bones with him. ;)

Sick....

My poor little Casey Roo has had his share of sickness. He had the swine flu and has had 3 or 4 cold as well in his dhort 10 months of life. I am a complete believer in breastfeeding gives your baby extra immunities. Weston was breastfeed until a year old and he didn't get his first cold until he was 18 months old. Cason I was only UNFORTUNATELY able to breastfeed until 6 months. And that is when he started to get sick. I feel so bad for my little boy. He is always so happy regardless but I just feel so bad. Jon, Weston and I have been passing this cold with a sore throat and runny nose back and forth for about 2-3 weeks. Saturday Cason had a fabulous 4 hour nap and when he woke up I left him with Jon for about an hour so I could run to Tai Pan (love that place). When I got home Cason was crying and felt warm. I took his temp and he had a fever of 100.9 rectally. He had the runny nose and cough. Now none of us have had a fever. He went back down at 5 and didn't wake up until 11 and it was just to eat and went back to sleep. He wanted to snuggle. Now when he wants to snuggle I know he is sick because Cason is a MOVER. Then the GUNK started. His poor little eyes have just been oozing pus out of them since Monday. His eyes are sealed shut each time he wakes up. We are constantly wiping his little eyes. They are so swollen and puffy. (LOOK AT THE PICTURE BELOW) And yet through it all he is so super sweet and happy. He is such a great baby.

And this wasn't eve his worst day. Poor GUY!

Christmas 2009

Just for fair warning this is going to be a big blog packed with lots of photos. To start of the holiday festivities we went to my Grandpa Layton's house for our annual spaghetti dinner. The food was delicious thank you Aunt Lor and the company was even better. I got to see most of my aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was great to see every one. I love them all so much and wish I got to see them more then I do.

Here are some pictures from that night. Cute Charity and Kailtan

Weston informed me he wanted to hold Cason. This is RARE so I jumped on the opportunity to take some pictures in their matching sweaters too bad Cason didn't want to sit still lol.

I just LOVE this one.

Here is Weston and Bella putting out the cookies for Santa. Someone was so TIRED!

Cason and Weston opening their Christmas pajamas from Grandma.

An out of order picture of Charity and Weston from the Layton party.

And Kaitlan too...

Our cute little family

The PRESENTS. We didn't get to bed until 12 which was a mistake. We slept in until 8:30 but Weston was on one ALL day. He couldn't wait to come downstairs and open all of his presents. And trust me there were a ton. Grandma went overboard. But it was fun.

Here is Cason checking out the presents under the tree. This was Cason's stack from Santa. He got a train that shoots out balls, a little people's school house, and firehouse, and a few outfits.

Here is Weston's haul from Santa. He got hot wheels, a bridge for his Thomas track, a track set, a Thomas v-tech smile game, trains, the games, Yahtzee, hi ho cherry-o, don't break the ice, ants in the pants, and cooties, a transformer, and a drum set.

Cason's pile again.

Jon playing with the transformer that Weston got.

Bella watching us open our presents.

Cason eating his brother's hot wheel.

Weston seriously concentrating on opening his gifts.

Jon all EXCITED when he got his final gift a gift card to Cabelas the only thing he really wanted.

Don't we look so nice for Christmas morning?

After we opened all of our presents and played with them
for a minute we then we had a delicious omelet breakfast made by Jon. Then we all participated in some Wii bowling and yes I won everytime lol.

We then went to Jon's grandparents for dinner and presents.

Jon loves his camo.

Cason was so pooped he fell asleep in my arms.

Sweet baby

My Grandparents flew in from Texas on the 26th. We didn't get up to see them until the 27th. It was so fun we had a mini Christmas all over again. We got so much my Aunt and Grandma spoiled us. Thank you for the wonderful gifts. We then just visited and had a delicious turkey dinner. Afterwards Jon and I went home but I couldn't stay away so the next day the boys and I went back up to Heber for a few days. On Tuesday we went to Soldier Hollow and went tubing. Needless to say Weston made it through on ride and he left. He couldn't ride with me on the same tube and he couldn't handle it. Then on Wednesday we just played around and then we went and saw the new Chipmunk movie. When I asked if he liked the movie he told me yeah. It was AWESOME! So there you have it if you haven't seen that movie yet you should it was great. It was so fun to see my family. I wish I could see them more. SO there you have it our Christmas break.

Sean and Savannah ready to play in the snow.
