week 15

How far along:  15 weeks day 4

How big is baby:  navel orange

Weight gain: +3 pounds

How am I feeling:  Much better.  I was sick this week but feeling much much better.  Once those antibiotics kick in I started feeling much better.  I still am tired a lot but not nearly as bad as during the first trimester.

What's on my mind:  Finding out what we are having in 3 days.  So hopeful we will get a good confirmation on the gender of our baby.  Hoping I can deal with the disappointment well if I am having another boy.  Little worried about this.

Best moment this week:  Feeling the baby moving a little.  Little flutters.  Can't wait for Jon and the boys to be able to feel it moving around.

week 14

source
How far along? 14 weeks and 4 days. Sorry no pics I have been sick and I really don't want to take a picture of how I look right now.

How big is baby? necterine or navel orange, 3.5 to 4 inches long. Physical difference from last week: Nothing about the same. In maternity pants and some shirts
.
Weight gain? Lost 2 pounds so up 2 pounds since I found out I was pregnant.

How am I feeling? I starting coming down with a sore throat about Wednesday and then on Thursday congestion started and by Friday I was losing my voice. I had a baby shower to throw on Saturday. I was coughing up phlegm and feeling miserable so I went to instacare. Turns out just a lot of congestion and being pregnant intensifies it all. Got on an antibiotic and feeling a little better. Otherwise I love that morning sickness is gone!

What's on my mind? Hoping to feel better. Getting so excited to gind out the gender.

Best Moment of the Week? Just loving looking less fat and more pregnant.

week 13

How far along?  13 weeks 1 day some sites say I am onto my 2nd trimester some say this is the last week who knows.

How big is baby?  The size of a lemon or a tangerine.  All vital systems are developed.  The baby can smile now and has all its teeth in its gums.

Physical differences from last week?  Tummy is getting a little rounder not much else.

Weight gain: +2 pounds from last appointment 4 weeks ago.  According to my scale (naked) this morning I was up +1.7 pounds from when I found out I was pregnant 9 weeks ago.

How I am feeling?  This week was a rough week.  Weston, Cason and I all came down with the pukes.  Just as my morning sickness was disapating.  I am getting more energy back and feel much more normal all around.  Not having to pee quite as often but still a lot.

What's on my mind?  Wondering what the gender of this little one is so I can start shopping and decorating.  I am also wondering if this one will have all the eye issues the boys have as we have been up to the doctors twice this last week for their eyes.

Best moment this week?  Getting a surprise ultrasound today and getting to see the baby.  I could see its little legs kicking all around.  The arms moving around.  I even got to see its hand with 5 little fingers so so sweet.  Heartbeat was 153 bpm.

Week 12

****picture to come*****
How far along?  12 wks 0 days

How big is baby? Size of a plum or a lime depending on the website

Physical differences from last week?  Bloatchy skin on chin.  Belly is getting rounder, still chubby looking though to anyone who doesn't know I am pregnant.  I have gained gulp 3 pounds so far.

How I am feeling?  Morning sickness is subsiding.  I still have to eat but not as often.  Food aversions are still here.  Meat and I aren't friends right now.  I am getting more and more of my energy back.  Still really tired in the morning and at night though

What's on my mind?  Excited for the things to come:  feeling the baby move, finding out the gender, picking names, buying new things for the baby.  I am slightly worried about having another baby and if they will inhert the boys nystagmus and what it will mean for it.

Best moment this week?  Weston talking to my tummy to the baby and Cason singing a song he made up.  "A baby, a baby, we are getting a baby" repeated over and over.  Also realizing that morning sickness is subsiding.

And baby makes 5...

To say that I have been wanting to get pregnant for awhile would be an understatement.  I have been ready since my almost 4 year old was a year old.  But after Jon and I were separated we wanted to make sure our marriage was solid before we had another baby.  So in June we were finally ready.  We figured it would happen fast since I got pregnant on birth control with Weston and the first month trying with Cason.  We thought it might take us a little longer as we were going to try the Shettles Method, I knew a few people who it has worked for including my Dr.  He said it might take us a little longer to get pregnant since we were trying for a girl and the Shettles method makes it hard to get pregnant because you are messing with your ovulation days.   I had been off birth control since January. I had been charting my basal temp so I could be sure how long my cycles were and when I ovulated. I had been having a 27-28 day cycle for months.  Then from June -July I had a 29 day cycle.  From July-August 29 day cycle.  August-September was a 30 day cycle.  And the worst month was September-October was a 32 day cycle.  With each passing day that would go passed my 29 cycle I would try not to get my hopes up but negative test after negative test confirmed that nope no baby for me.  My poor family and friends Rachel and Melissa got to talk me through these hard, hard days.  Finally I had, had enough I went a bought a digital ovulation kit.  It took until day 18 of my cycle to get the ovulation surge.  In the previous months we had been stopping on day 13 of my cycle leaving us far to far from my ovulation.  Then November came after having a 32 day cycle the previous month I tried not to let my hopes get up each day after 29 days.  So Monday, November 13 came day 33 no period still so I took a test.  I saw this:

I couldn't tell was I pregnant or not.  I had taken a test on Friday and it was negative definitely just one line.  I took a picture and sent it to my friend Rachel asking if she saw two lines.  She said yes. But I had to be sure.  I hurried and finished getting myself and the kids ready and ran to walmart.  I got to school and ran to the bathroom.  I had to see those words pregnant or not!  Then it happened I saw this:

Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was finally pregnant.  I couldn't stop smiling. A few minutes later Rachel got to school and asked, "So?"  "Pregnant!"  I squealed.  She ran up and gave me a hug.  It finally was happening I was going to have my long awaited baby.  Now I have to say I know that people have tried much harder and longer then me and with much harder outcomes.  So I feel a little guilty about my 5 month journey.  But it was hard on me none the less.
I had to wait and wait and wait to tell Jon.  He had gone to San Francisco that weekend with friends to watch a football game.  When he got home after a 10 hour drive he saw this sitting by the sink.

I don't really remember what he said other then I should have waited until the next day to tell him.  I was a little bummed he didn't show more enthusiasm after all I had gone through but chalked it up to him being exhausted.  The next day he sent me a great text, "I am excited about our new addition.  A little worried about whether a boy or a girl and about money.  But I love you and it will all work out."  Awe good job Jon!

I figured my due date was July 20th, 2013.  So I set up my appointment for 8.5 weeks.  I went to the Dr and he agreed with when he thought my due date was.  He asked me questions then we went in for the ultrasound.  He said he could see the baby but I couldn't see a thing.  He had me bend my knees and I still couldn't see the baby.  Panic was setting in.  He made it seem like no big deal.  I was told to undress and the vaginal intrusion ultrasound would begin.  While waiting for him to come back in the room seemed to take an ETERNITY.  He came back in and started and the minute I saw my baby on the screen the fear disappeared.  I could see the heart flickering it was AMAZING!  The Dr saw one baby, one yoke, thank goodness!

The baby had strong heartbeat of 170 bpm.  The baby measured July 24, 2013.  So my due date was pushed back 4 days.  Can you believe I will be fat and huge pregnant in July.  Kill me now.  I will take a 4th of July baby lol.  I don't plan to leave my pool all summer ha.  My ultrasound pic it pretty bad but he was nice enough to print two pictures as this is what we were giving to my Grandparents for Christmas.

I didn't tell people for awhile.  We have an elf on the shelf so when I was 9.5 weeks we had our elf tell the boys.  He brings them notes and a small gift if they are good.  He brought them each a baby bottle filled with bottle caps and kisses.  A big brother book and the ultrasound.  Weston was a little confused as to why our elf would give them a book we already had.  I told him to look in the book where the ultrasound was.  He said what baby is this Cason or me.  I said that is the baby in my tummy.  He didn't get it at first then he said your having a baby!  Cason was more concerned that our elf brought him a baby bottle.  I have the whole thing recorded but blogger refuses to let it upload.  The next day Cason was pretty excited that he gets to be a big brother like Weston.

We told everyone else the day after Christmas with this picture on Facebook saying look what Santa brought me.  We are so excited to find out what we are having in February.  Send girl prayers and vibes my way.

Watch Out Here Come the Zombies!!!!!

I am finally getting around to posting about Weston's awesome 6th birthday party if I do say so myself.  This is what the invitation looked like that I mailed/e-mailed out.  I created them on my handy dandy scrapbook program.  Don't you just love the grey chevron?
Weston really wanted a gun party.  I started brainstorming ideas.  I though western at first and he wanted no part of that party.  Then I though why not a zombie killing party.  Weston loved the idea.  So I went with it.  With his party being in October I was able to find great things for his party.  And let's face it don't we all love the ideas on pinterest.  I decided to not make the cake this year.  I love making the cupcakes and cakes but mine just never turn out tasting the best.  They look adorable but that is about it.  So I thought make things easy get a cake from the world's greatest bakery.  So that I called Dick's up and said I need a zombie cake.  I then went wild with the zombie theme for food.  We made mummy hot dogs for the kids.  Zombie guts (pasta salad), zombie virus, (sherbet and soda), pudding with dirt (cookie crumbs) and worms, and then chips and salsa.
Our yummy mummy hot dogs.
The yummy Dick's cake.

Dayton trying to eat my jello zombie brain.  (Don't you just love who real it looks?)

The table set up.  I am in love with how it all pulled together.
Weston and Cason were so cute they helped me put the dirt on the pudding and the worms.  My little helpers.

For the kids gifts Jon made marshmallow guns for the kids to shoot.  Here is their ammo.

Another close up of the BRAINS

I had the kids go outside and shoot at paper zombies I had printed and hung from the ceiling of the garage.
Weston shooting his "gun"
All the boys after their target practice. While the boys were practicing. Jon and our good friend Kenton went upstairs to turn into ZOMBIES. This is them coming out our front door.

Kenton came out first and he had the walk and moan down PERFECT

Here comes Jon.  Bella wasn't too sure about this!
Jon and Kenton eating BRAINS
Oh my gosh I wish I could upload the video.  This kids were hilarious when the guys came out they all started screaming.  Weston was scared at first until I was like its just Dad and Kenton.  Then all the kids had a blast.  The guys were the PERFECT ZOMBIES.
Cason saying to Parker.  Don't worry I can fix it.
After the zombie shooting we went inside to eat cake.  Weston was embarrassed having all the attention on him as evident by the picture.  His I am super shy face was on.
We then went outside to open gifts.  All our friends were extremely generous with the presents they bought.

Look at the look of PURE Joy!

While we were waiting for all the kids to come we played a few rounds of hot brain instead of hot potato with a little brain I got at the dollar store.

The zombie killers posing with our zombie poster.

We also played pin the zombie on the zombies.
I think the party was a complete success!  Weston said it was the best party he has had.  And his favorite part was shooting his dad and Kenton.
