Our house has been kissed

We'll it looks like our household has been kissed with the swine flu. On Thursday I woke up with this mucus ball in my throat that was making me horse. I just figured I was getting a cold so I got some hot chocolate and went to work. By the end of the day I could barely talk, thank goodness for my school's microphone system. But I felt fine. Then that night I started to get achy muscles and a migraine. When I woke up Friday it was taking all my energy just get ready. I had this phlemy cough as well then, so off I went to get my hot chocolate at the gas station when as I was pulling into the spot a lady opened her car door into my bumper. Yeah! Luckily it didn't dent just scratched it. Anyway I went to work and as the day went on I felt worse and worse. By 11 I had a temp of 99.5 not too huge but I felt terrible. Called the doctor, who I have issues with anyway in Bountiful, because I thought I might have pneumonia. They said oh its not swine flu you don't have a high fever, hello did think that was what it was anyway duh! So they were no help. Luckily school gets out early on Friday, I talked with my principal and left with the kids. I ran a fever from Friday to Saturday. Had to keep on the Tylenol every 6 hours. Had this terrible mucusy cough (which hasn't left yet), no appetite at all and everything I did eat went through me. Jon took Weston with to a friends house Saturday night and Cason and I stayed home. I woke up with no fever but still the congested nose and cough. Jon and Weston came home around 8. Weston was sick with a fever. He just snuggled all day or cried if I didn't snuggle him. His fever never broke even with the tylenol. Cason was fine until 5 then ran a fever too, he also had a cough all day. Took both boys temp rectally because our stupid ear one is so unreliable. Cason's was 102 and Westons was 101.4. Called wee care about what to do at 5:45 after no one calling me back and both boys getting worse called again and got Cason an appointment at 10:20 due to his fever they said nothing they could do for Weston. I had already decided to take Monday off of work so I got subplans together while waiting to go to the doctors. They swabbed him and sure enough, SWINE FLU! The nurse then asked if I wanted to be swabbed just for the heck of it, "She said I won't tell if you don't." I have swine flu as well. So basically so does Weston. Because of Cason's age and weight they wanted him on Tamaflu. Walgreens is out until 10 this morning. So this has been our weekend. I am glad it waited until after Weston's birthday weekend to happen, LOL! Wish us a speedy recovery.

Weston's 3rd birthday

We had Weston's birthday party on Saturday. We had an a Seasame Street theme which the kids loved, and I loved creating the party. We had all the kids come wearing their Halloween costumes given they only get to wear them once we thought this would be a fun time to let them wear them again. Too bad it ended up being such a nice day so the kids ended up changing pretty quickly, they were roasting! Once everyone was there we played Trash It To Oscar. The kids had to throw balled up newspaper into an aluminum bucket I made. Dayton (5 years old), Weston (3 years old), Oakley (3 years old) all threw a ball and missed. Then Ashton (1 years old) threw the balled up newspaper in and made it. The kids all went for another round. Ashton made it again and so did Oakley, eventually they all made it in. I found these party favor medals at the dollar store that the kids got when they were done. We then played a Rubber Ducky game, I put dots on a few of hte bottoms of the ducks and they each got to pick a duck then turn it over and see if they picked on with a dot on it. We did quite a few rounds of this. Jon made hot dogs, deer meat, and pork loin for lunch. After lunch the dads hid the easter eggs so we could play Jounrey To Ernie. The kids all got to find 6 eggs then we came back together to look in their eggs to see if they had found 6 of the Ernies that were inside. The kids loved looking for the eggs so we hid them again and let them find them again. The kids all got bubbles even if they didn't get Ernie. After the game we came in and sang Happy Birthday to Weston. Probably his favorite part of the party. He made us sing to him 3 times of his birthday and let him blow out the candles. I made some elmo and cookie monster cupcakes all by myself I am quite proud of myself, if I so say so myself. We then went inside to open presents. Weston was spoiled and got a lot of great presents. Thank you everybody. Here is who made it to the party: Great Grandpa Layton, Vivian, my mom, Poppa, Grandma Dawn, Lance, Kourtney, Kenton, Sheena, Dayton, Ashton, Val, Bridgetta, Oakley, Cherie, Brookelyn, and Casey. We had a great day. There are a lot of pictures of his birthday and the party (sorry but we have family in another state who loves lots of pictures)

3 years old

Today my little sweetheart Weston is three years old. This is the first year that I think he really knows what is going on. He has been so helpful while making invitations to his party, and buying all the goodies. He keeps asking about his birthday party. When I was done wrapping his presents last night he laid them all out and said, "this is my birthday party," and proceeded to try to open his presents. Only to be told he had to wait until tonight. We are going have a big party Saturday with friends and family. Tonight we are going to have pizza (his favorite), maybe a little cake and open presents. He is growing up so fast and just says the most funny things. He cracks us up daily. I am so thankful and feel so blessed to be him mom. I love you Westie Woo and Happy Birthday. Here are so of the things he likes and can do:
He loves...
to play with Bella for hours (especially when it was nice outside)
Seasame street videos, games, stuffed animals you name it
trains are his new passion, he plays for hours on end
to snuggle espeically in an attempt to get out of going to bed
his tags on his blanket
semis and skool buses
snake (steak), chicken and pizza
flags even the uwhotaah flag (that is how he says it)
to help me with Cason and Bella
to cook dinner (really he loves to stir dinner)
his mommy, daddy, Bella Boots, Casey Roo, and Grandma
He can....
build any kind of train track
slide on his own
know when we are going to Grandma's and home he knows the neighborhoods
feed the dog, his fish, and Cason
put on his own socks and shirt
identify half the alphabet
these are all new from last year and I know there is more but this is all I can think of....

Circus

A few weekends ago my mom, Weston and I went to the circus. I haven't been since I was little like 7 little and Weston had never been. My mom and I were both so excited to take Weston. He was so good. He watched the whole show (from our laps, what a waste of ticket we had to buy for him) and when we were leaving he said, "that was so cool Mom!" My favoritepart was the tigers and the elephants. I mean don't get me wrong the whole show was gerat but my favorite part was the elephants. We got there early so we got to go see the zebras, elephants, and the tigers. Then we went to the meet and greet with the performers. Weston got a program which he likes to look at and a wizard hat with our cotton candy. It was a great Saturday thanks Mom and Weston.

Cason is 6 months

Today we went to Cason's 6 month check and I have a major post about that but I promised his stats and here they are, also here is his 6 month old pictures. The photographer wanted to use him for a model and he so wasn't having it. Weston at least waited until his year pictures before he wouldn't cooperate. I think she got some good ones but he was so serious.

Height: 26 1/4 inches (57%)

Weston's big boy room

Here is Weston's big boy room. I have been meaning to post this for months. Weston has had his big boy bed since June. I got it finished around the end of June. It is supposed to have a vintage car theme. I got a gas pump, license plates, vintage signs, and cars. I think it turned out pretty good. One of the license plates.
I redid his name with car themed paper (sorry you can't really see it in the picture)

His gas pump and other license plate.

His dresser with its decorations.
His bed and one of the signs.

One of his shelves with gas tins, airplane and stop sign.

The whole wall.

A better look at his bed.
I hope this room lasts him for a few years or atleast until we move again.

6 Months

My sweet little baby boy turned 6 months old yesterday! I can hardly believe that Casey Roo is half a year old already. We don't have his stats yet because he doesn't go in for his check up until the 25th. But here are the things he is doing right now.
1. He can roll over either way (front to back, back to front)
2. He can roll several times in a row
3. He loves pulling his pull toys and watching them vibrate back up
4. He loves to jump in his johnny jumper
5. He loves to mimic talking by moving his mouth but nothing comes out
6. He loves to laugh and squeal when you talk to him really animated
7. He doesn't like it when I try to get him to sit up.
8. he would rather try to stand then sit. He pushes his legs so they are stiff until he falls back because he would rather stand then sit.
9. He is such a wiggle worm that he is almost crawling.
10. He does this cute move that is like a full on push up with his legs even off the ground.
We love you so much Cason and you have been such a wonderful addition to our family.
