9 months

Taylyn has had a big 9 months.  Auntie Victoria came to visit for the weekend on the day she turned 9 months old.  They both fell in love with each other.  It was so sweet to see.

She continues to be her daddy's sweetheart.  Taylyn loves to explore so much more around her now.  She is getting harder and harder to keep still.
I just love this picture.  Her little personality is so cute.  She will pull the funniest, cutest faces.
I just love that this dress still fits her.  Its a 0-3 month dress.  I adored it on her last summer!

We have also been trying out new hairstyles more.  He hair was almost long enough for this one.  But sadly it broke a lot of her hair off so we haven't done this one again.

And awwwww the owl comparison.  She was in such a great mood to take pictures.  Which made it fun to get such great smiles.

She is such a mover now.  Taylyn hasn't started crawling the right way yet but she is a scooter.  And the minute I sit her down she scoots and manuvers to what she wants.  (Usually me :))

weight:  13.8 putting her in the 0 % still.
height:  26.25 7%
Head:  16.25 2%

He was still concerned that she is still lower.  But she has been strictly on formula and solids from 8 months to 9.  From 6-8 months she was getting two bottles a day of breastmilk and the rest formula.  He wanted me to try adding in a little more formula if I can or more solids.  She spits up a lot if I give her more then 5 oz. so I have been trying to slowly give her 6 oz every few bottles.  Tay is a great eater so luckily that isn't an issue.
The dr. also heard a murmur.  He thinks it might be due to her iron being low which is making it sound funny when it goes through her heart.  But if he still hears it at her year appointment I am taking her to a cardiologist.  I have a hole in my heart and my family has a huge history of heart issues.  So this is not something to mess with.
accomplishments:  Playing hide in seek on her own.  She loves to do this with me in the morning.  Picks up things with her fingers and everything goes into her mouth.  Tay loves to stand holding onto something but can't pull herself up to standing yet.  I love it when she kicks her feet she gets so excited.  She will kiss her babies or stuffed animals the minute you place them down by her.  AWE I know :)

sleep:  Still a great sleeper.  Goes down between 7:30-8:30 sleeps all night until I wake her at 7:30 to go to the sitters.  Naps for 4 hours on the weekends.

cloths:  Size 3-6 months but a few 9 month items that are mostly dresses.

diapers:  size 1-2 from Costco, she is leaking from size 2 huggies.

8 months

She is definitely getting bigger than her cute owl.  I just love looking at these comparisons.  I wish I would have done this with the boys.

Sitting up so big.

She was so happy and smilely for these pictures I love it.

These are some of my favorite pics of her.  She is getting so big!

I just loved her hair like this.  I didn't stay long but it sure was cute while it lasted.

Poor Taybug had her first ear infection this month.  She had a little cold but one Saturday she woke up from her nap and was digging at her ear.  So I took her to instacare and after cleaning out wax he thought he saw a slight infection so we got her on antibiotics and she was great in a few days.

weight:  When she went in for her ear infection she weight 13...

accomplishments:  pat your back when you hold her and just refining her other skills.

sleep:  Still a great sleeper.  Goes down between 7:30-8:30 sleeps all night until I wake her at 7:30 to go to the sitters.  Naps for 4 hours on the weekends.

cloths:  Size 0-3 shirts fit still.  3-6 mostly but a few 9 month items that are mostly dresses.

Cason's 5th Birthday

Cason's Birthday started off with Weston and I coming in and singing Happy Birthday to Cason and throwing Balloons on him  I am not going to lie he was a grump that morning.  Cason said he wasn't ready to wake up and that 5 year olds needs more sleep.
But he perked up once he knew presents were involved.  Weston was so excited about his present and he picked it special just for Cason.  It was a power rangers sword.
Cason has suddenly been into power rangers and he loves costumes.  So Jon and I got him a power rangers costume.
Of course he had to immediately put it on.
Cason got to spend a day with just him and Grandma.  They had breakfast then she took him to walmart where he got to pick out  present he wanted.  Afterwards they had lunch at McDonalds.  Then they went home and played with his new toys.

When I got home from work we went to iceberg for ice cream.  Then Cason got to pick out some cupcakes.  Jon got home early and we all went to see The Lego Movie.  Everything about that movie was awesome!  We all really liked it.  After the movie we got dinner and came home.  Cason said he had an awesome day!!

For his birthday party we went a few days later to The Treehouse Museum in Ogden.  Its so fun.  Its like the Children's Museum just has a little more educational link to it.  I normally have the parties at our house but we are currently remodeling and our house just wasn't going to be ready in time for his party.  So he picked the museum out of classic and the nickelcaide.

For Christmas I signed my mom up for a cake decorating class so she wanted to make Cason's cake.  So I searched pinterest for ideas then had Cason pic his favorite.  This is what he picked.

Below is what my mom and I came up with.  We made the cakes from scratch but when it came to the frosting we ordered it from the bakery.  My mom did most of it.  All I did was the blue, the 5's and the words on the top.  My mom did the rest.  Also if anyone has tips on how to get the frosting that bright do tell.

I think it turned out great and it was so good.

For his goody bags.  I had my class color masks for the front when they finished work and then cut out cardstock masks for inside the bag.  I also gave them power ranger disc shooters, tattoos, and glower stick bracelets.
We just had everyone play while we waited fro everyone to arrive.  Once everyone arrived we saw a fun version of the three little bears.  Two of our friends got to be in the play.  Ashton and Koda were seven dwarfs.

After the play we met back up in our room for cake and presents.

Uncle Jimmy thought it would be great fun to wrap Cason's present in duck tape.  We left that for last and needless to say it took awhile.  I am actually proud of Cason for not getting frustrated with it.

Thank you to Auntie Kim for helping him get it out.

Rhees and Parker (above pic) gave him an angry birds track to shoot his car out of
The Spackman's got him two dirt bikes (below pic) and a gift card
The Morfin's got him a cool Hulk mask
Amanda and kids got him money to buy whatever he wants
The Gilboys got him a cool motorcycle outfit and a dusty airplane from Planes
Jimmy and Jenn got him a transformer guy
After presents and cake the kids were able to play for awhile longer.  Here is some of the fun pics we got.
Dr. Weston, he loves the nursery section.  Maybe he will take after his grandpa and work in the NICU.

Astronaut Cason.  I just love this pic for some reason.  It just makes me smile.

Taylyn eating trains and snuggling with Auntie Kim.

Cason and Tay in their fishing boat.  Cason is throwing the net overboard to catch fish.

President Weston and Cason in the oval office.

Cason has always loved the firetruck and dressing up as the firefighter.
I think Cason had a great party and it was so easy for me.  He had a few moments of grumpiness but we work through them and had a great day.  Happy 5th Birthday my big guy.

7 months

What I am 7 months?

Taylyn turned 7 months old on February 11th so I am a bit behind on this post considering she just turned 8 months old.  Ha oh well better late then never right?

Look at the comparison between 1 month and 7 months with the owl.

She has been working on sitting up in her chair playing with her toys all month.

Finally this weekend though just days before turning 8 months she finally mastered sitting on her own.
I had the hardest time getting her to want to sit still for pictures since the boys were playing dinosaurs right by her.  So instead of fighting it I thought why not just bringing them over.  She just loved this tall t-rex that is as big as she is.

Taylyn has learned to blow raspberries really well.  Here is her in action blowing one.  She is so funny out of now where you will just hear her blowing them.

Look at her intently focusing on the dinosaurs.

A few days after she turned 7 months she won Queen in the Beehive Beauty Pageant's Valentine's Pageant.  It was fun.  But I think we may retire after she has won queen twice in a row.  :)

I've been giving her more and more solids.  One morning she got to have some pancakes.  Needless to say this girl loves her food and pancakes were a hit.

The love affair between Weston and Tater continues.  She still thinks he brothers are the greatest.  Tay also loves to steal people's glasses as evident in this picture.

weight:  I had to take her in to be weighted because her pediatrician was concerned about her weight gain.  She was 12.5 which was almost a pound gain in a months so he wasn't too concerned anymore.

accomplishments:  Learned to sit, working on clapping, loves to pump her leg and foot while sitting its the cutest thing, blow raspberries, and starting to squeal.

sleep:  Still a great sleeper.  Goes down between 7:30-8:30 sleeps all night until I wake her at 7:30 to go to the sitters.  Naps for 4 hours on the weekends.

cloths:  Size 0-3 shirts fit still.  But moving more into 3-6 clothes.

diapers:  size 1-2 from Costco
