First Dentist Visits and........3 cavities

Weston had his regular 6 months check up and Cason had his first check up.  Cason did great.  I was a little nervous since he wouldn't open his mouth for me when I was trying to practice with him.  But he was great.  The bright light bugged his eyes so that was a little hard for him.  But then they gave him some sunglasses to wear.  The dentist made me get this not feel so guilty that Cason still has his nuk at 3.  He said his permanent teeth wouldn't be crooked and he will get rid of it when he is ready.  So though I still want to throw it in the trash get rid of it I am not as worried as I was.

Waiting so big for his turn.  Finally practicing opening his mouth.

Getting all ready for the dentist.  Looking so BIG!
He was trying to undo the bib.
Wearing his sunglasses because the light was so bright.

I was so proud of him opening so big.
Giving her a high five when he was done.  No cavities and everything looked great.
Weston is an old pro at going to the dentist.  He loves the dentist and getting the good bag with his new toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.  Well this time we got bad news.  He had not one, not two, but three cavities.  He has never had one in the 2 years he has been going and her goes and gets 3 in 6 months.  Holy cow!  That was fun going 3 different times.  One even had to have a mini crown or root canal I can't remember.  I don't know if he will be so exited to go back again.  One time he bit his side of his cheek and got a big old sore so bad he needed antibiotics.  Poor kid.  I have tried to be more vigilant about brushing more.
Weston picked out a telescope so he could like a pirate.

Tooth Fairies First and Second Visit

On the 26th of February Weston told me he had a loose tooth when I picked him up after work.  I thought no way is my baby old enough to have a loos tooth, but makes sense since I lost my first teeth in kinder and Weston should be in Kinder if it wasn't for him missing his deadline by a month.  Ironically enough his first loose tooth was his first tooth.  Well duh I guess that makes sense.  He proceeded wiggle that tooth all night I told him to have Dad pull it when he got home.  So what does my dumbass brillant husband do he gets out the real pliars and scares the poor kid telling him those were the tools he needed.  Needless to say he didn't sit by Jon the rest of the night.  The next day he called me at lunch to say his tooth feel out when his brother kneed him.  So I came up with the idea looked at pinterest and found the idea of putting glitter (fairy dust) where he slept.  I gave him $3 since that is what I got well turns out that was a cheap amount so I gave his $5 as well later.

 The loose tooth
Weston has been sleeping in our room on his couch bed for the last few months so don't think this is his real bed.  Notice the fairy dust.
Here he is showing off his loot.  The next day he lost the tooth right next to it.  He got $5 that time.  He has not lost anymore in the last few months which is good this tooth fairy is broke.

Potty Training Reward

If there is anything I hate worse then potty training I have yet to figure it out.  I detest it yet it is one of those neccisary evils.  Weston was started around 2 but we didn't really put the pressure on until 3.  He wasn't potty trained until 3 and half.  Needless to say I was dreading training Cason.  But really he actually picked it up pretty well.  A few weeks before Christmas my friend said she was going to begin training her son who is the same age as Cason I thought heck this is too soon.  He won't even be 3 until March.  But that night we tried putting him on the potty.  He was killing me when he was trying to poop he farted and Cason started gigglng.  He was all mmmmmm I can't do it!  I can do this too toot.  I hear the poop coming.  Then he pooped.  It was just cracking me up.  So I told him to call me at work if he went potty.  My mom had him call several times the next day saying he had gone potty then I had my class cheer for him.  He loved it.  Then on Saturday he had accident after accident and I was about to give up thinking he wasn't ready.  Then he did really good again.  We used our elf on the shelf as motivation as well.  Cason really loves stuffed so my mom said if he got all potty trained with no accidents for a few weeks we would take him to build a bear to get a stuffed animal. So in February he made that mark.  So my mom and I took the boys to Gateway to build a bear.  Cason picked a cat.  Then Weston was so bummed he didn't get one we got him a cheap one.  Only to find out later that all the bears were on sale with an outfit so he could have gotten whatever he wanted.  Whateve.....
Here Cason is picking out his cat.
This is the one I want mom.  (don't judge that he is potty trained and still has the nuk)  Funny thing is this is the same Cat my cousin Sean picked out when we went to build a bear in SF like 9 years ago.
Here Weston is picking his doggie.
Getting their hearts picked out and put in.

Cason is OBSESSED with motorcycles so he HAD to have this motorcycle and we all know my mom lives to spoil the boys so then he also got the whole outfit including leather jacket, chaps and boots.
Weston dressed his doggie like Woody from toy story he turned out really cute.

Circus of Rejects

In February my mom and I took the boys to the Ogden Circus.  Now let me tell you about this circus.  My friend Melissa and I took our kids to this same circus last year.  We ended up leaving half way through because let's face it these guys are Ringling Bros. rejects.  We were sure at some point the lion tamer was going to get malled.  We were going to see some fall to his death.  Luckily we didn't but needless to say we were worried.  So when we saw they were coming again Melissa didn't want to go but I couldn't afford the real circus since they come the same month as Weston's birthday.  But we had a great time.  Though I was still scared someone was going to fall to his death at one point they did get better in the last year.

We let the boy ride the ponies.  And I am not trying to say that I am some babe but the guy running it was trying to flirt with me so the boys got a really long ride.  SCORE!!!!
We got Cason new glasses in fact we had just picked them up right before we went.  He wore them for about 30 minutes and then he took them off so I am not so sure how he could really see the show but he seemed to like it.

My mom will kill me for this picture.  We stuffed our faces enjoyed some popcorn and cotton candy.

My mom spoiled the boys and they each got two guns that lite up and made noises.  It was a noisy ride home.

Casey Roo and I waiting for the show to start.

I lov this boy!
My mom and I

All in all I think we will go again it was fun, it was cheap and the kids had fun!  And let's continue to hope no one dies.Rr
