Weston's second birthday party

Weston doesn't turn two until Wednesday the 15th but we had his birthday party yesterday. It was so fun to see how much he has grown since last year. I don't know where this last year has gone but it seems like we were just having his first brithday party and here he is turning 2. We had soup in bread bowls with a veggie tray. Then Weston had fun opening his presents. He was pretty much done opening them after the first present. It was toy camera with a light on it. He loved it. He got some neat toys. He was defiantly spoiled. He got a big present from Grandma. He got a power wheel John Deere tracker. At first he couldn't make it go on his own. But once we took it in the house and he didn't have his shoes on anymore he got the hang of it. My mom bought him his own birthday cake. He had so much fun having everyone sing to him. He thought that was just the greatest. When he was eating his cake he never actually made it to the cake just the frosting. I loaded a lot of pictures and videos on here for my family in Texas who couldn't make it. Thanks to all that came. It was great to celebrate with you all. To see the pictures you need to click on View All Imagaes below. I am having technical difficulties with slide.com and picasa.com so just click on view all images to see pictures.

Cookie Adventures

The finished product!!!

My first pregnancy craving was for homemade sugar cookies. With Halloween coming I decided to make homemade sugar cookies. Weston decided he thought it would be so much fun to help eat, frost, and roll out the cookies. He was such a big helper. We made ghosts, cats, pumpkins, and bats. They tasted delicious. Weston kept demanding a "BITE".

Baby Update

Thanks to all of you who support me and my quest to win the nursery. I don't think I won but it was still fun to try.
As for news about the baby. I went to my second check up on the 15th. He said all was looking good. My blood pressure and other tests came back looking good. I have lost 10 pounds thanks to my morning sickness. Which hallelujah is getting much better since hitting that second trimester mark last Saturday. I still have to eat every few hours but I am not nauseous in between like I was before. Yes!!!!
We have a date. For our ultrasound that is. We find out November 13 what we are having. 6 more weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for a healthy girl. He he... Just keep them crossed for a healthy baby period.
I have a guilty thing to admit. A couple of weeks ago was Old Navy's baby sell. Well I had to buy the cutest pink and brown body suit. It was only $3.99 so I figured that was cheap for a little wishful thinking. I also bought some gender neutral outfits and a bunch of fall clothes for Weston. Jon always jokes Weston dresses better than him and the sad thing is it is so true.

2 years

Yesterday was Jon and I's two year anniversary. I can't believe we have been married two years already. Time has gone fast. We went to dinner at the Olive Garden and just had a nice laid back night. We were there for almost 2 hours. When we came in there was an old couple in their 80's getting ready to eat. Jon and I turned to each other and said that will be us in 60 years. It was so sweet. Then we came home and watched the rest of the Cowboys and Eagles game. I am a cowboys fan. Weston was a hoot cheering with me. It was a calm night but just perfect for us. Though I can get frustrated with Jon and we argue at times I couldn't imagine anyone else being my husband and the father of my children. He has been such a great husband. He tries to do thoughtful things for me and Weston. He has allowed his mother in law to move in for a few months. He loves to fix things around the house. He is adorable with Weston. Oh the list could go on but I don't want to sound too cheesy. Basically I am glad to be Mrs. Jonathan Hemphill.

AST DEW TOUR

That is Ryan Shecklar with the white shirt on
Saturday Jon and I went with our friends, Chris, Val and Stacey to the AST Dew Tour at the Energy Solutions Arena. It was so neat to see the FMX, BMX, and Skateboarders. They do some amazing tricks. And when they fall of my gosh, I don't know how some of them get back up. Its pretty amazing. We got there in time to see the dirt bikes outside, preforming in their finals. It was neat to see the superman jumps, etc. but it was so hot outside. I got so hot at one point I almost passed out. Isn't it funny how the heat affects you differently when your pregnant? Then we headed over to see the semifinals of the BMX bikes. They had so many people there though we almost didn't get a seat. Well we didn't get a seat but we almost didn't even get standing room either. But they let us in and we got to stand right by the course. I grantee we were on t.v. Then we headed over to Happy Sumo for dinner before going to see Ryan Shecklar and Chaz Ortiz kick butt in the Skate park. (my favorite part if you couldn't tell) It was a lot of fun, but with not eating well all day and the heat. I was pretty sick. I also got a bad sunburn. I don't know how willing I am going to be to go again next time I am pregnant. But it was a lot of fun.

Labor Day

This weekend we went to Swan Valley Idaho for Labor Day. We got there at 9 on Friday and left around 11 on Monday. We had a lot of fun. On Saturday the guys all went fishing and the girls took their kids and we went swimming at the Heist Hot Springs. Weston was a little cautious at first about the water then he had a blast. He didn't want to leave. We we got back I took Weston on a few four wheeling rides around the property. On Sunday we went to where the salamon were running that was neat. That is where I took all these pictures. Weston had so much fun throwing rocks into the water. He had a blast. Then it rained Sunday afternoon until Monday when we left. It was a fun way to end summer.
